ESSAY First of all, you wouldn’t want to curse at someone, sometimes the person may react back in a violent manners. I experience a lot of fight for just cursing and or disrespecting. I think triggering someone in a violent manner can result you to be either get beaten down or something worse. All in all, I think everyone should be respecting others. In addition, screaming/yelling in public places can get you kicked in various places so that’s what in GMHS, they prohibit swearing and disrespecting others to make you familiar that in the real world, they won’t warn you or little punishment, what GMHS is basically doing is to make you learn that you can’t do everything in public places because people will get offended. It is an actual law
Respect is a such a simple concept and a virtue that should be simple to follow. It means treating other people and animals in a dignified manner. Respect doesn’t mean that people need to hug everyone they come across or hold their opinion higher than everyone elses. Respect means treating others as equals and acknowledging that as human
There are still people that go to church and don't cuss and cares about there family vale and try to keep that away from their kids as long as they can.they want the censor stuff for there kids.Cursing
Respect to me is admiring someone for their abilities, qualities, or achievements. I think respect is always earned an can never be given. As soldiers soldiers we should always respect our peers because they have made the same sacrifice as us. But as soldiers we should have a higher level of respect for our NCOs because they have done their time an have earned it. Being respectful is not hard it is simple, just treat others the way we would like to be treated ourselves.
Some people don’t find anything wrong with verbally abusing another human. Some world leaders have participated in hate speech, hate crimes, or genocide. Hitler is known for his merciless killing of minorities, mostly Jews, in Eastern Europe. The founder of the United States, Christopher Columbus, killed many Indians because he felt he was superior to them. Hate speech obviously leads to hate crimes and keeps humans separated. Also when following the laws correctly, hate speech is not allowed. These are all reasons why I am against hate speech.
This law is for everybody. This is a written law that must be followed by everyone. If someone breaks these laws then they will face charges. This law ensures that health and safety is done properly.
In today’s time frame the term disrespect can be defined by many different things. The dictionary defines disrespect as the lack of respect or courtesy. In the military disrespect can be show as not only talking back, but hand gestures, body language, the emphasis of your voice when responding to a command, or even not acknowledging one command. Out of all the possible signs of disrespect I think personally that talking back, body language and the emphasis of your voice are the major ones that can get you in trouble. Even not going to the authorize position of parade rest is a sign of disrespect, because as Non Commissioned Officer if you out rank the subordinate the person who is receiving information, criticism, or a command should be at
...es not turn our society toward violence. There are other possible solutions though, like making a list of words that are indecent, meaning offensive to community standards. This would illiminate harmful curse words that are derogatory.
The First Amendment’s protection of free speech, while not absolute, allows citizens to express themselves to police officers even if that expression is rude, insulting, profane, obnoxious, or verbally abusive. As the U.S. Supreme Court noted, "[t]he freedom of individuals verbally to oppose or challenge police action without thereby risking arrest is one of the principal characteristics by which we distinguish a free nation from a police state." City of Houston v. Hill, 482 U.S. 451, 462 (1987).
them, or if someone yells at us, we should yell at them. But does there ever come a point where
All throughout Elementary school teachers and parents would say, “Sticks and stones may break your bones, but words will never hurt you”, but in a way they were wrong. My father married my step-mother who had two children around my age. The oldest was a very normal kid, but the second was autistic. Despite his autism, he was a very sweet kid and when it came to the subject of animals he was a genius, however this made no difference to his peers. He would be referred to as “retard” or other hurtful names behind his back. His brother, himself, and myself all went to the same school and his brother and I would have to deal with these immature students. They would pick on him constantly, but the saddest part is he could never tell that they were picking on him; in his mind he thought that was how everyone played. I would have to talk to these students, but they never understood the problem, “he can’t tell” or “he’s having fun” they would say. In no way does that make it right. Just because someone can’t tell that you are picking on them or doesn’t hear you say the hurtful comments, shouldn’t allow you to disrespect them.
Self-respect is probably the most important value for a person. It is said that in order to earn the respect of others, a person needs to learn to treat oneself with respect. I think that self-respect has a lot to do with one’s self-esteem. Self-esteem is an opinion of one’s own worth. For example, a girl that sleeps around will probably earn the reputation of a slut or a tramp. In reality, she is coping with the stresses of a low self-esteem.
This quote acknowledges an uncomplicated solution to the amplification of violence due to an increased amount of derogatory language. The solution includes communicating simple reminders that profanity is not courteous or sophisticated, which will teach the perpetrators that that kind of language is not tolerated.
Curses and cursing practices have been existed as universal phenomena since the time of immemorial. However, unlike blessing, Curse words are words we are not supposed to say; as a result curse words themselves became highly influential. The topic itself is perhaps too taboo for academicians. (Jay, 2000:18).
Workplace harassment is unwelcome actions that are based on a person’s race, religion, color, and sex, and gender, country of origin, age, ethnicity or disability. The targets of the harassment are people who are usually perceived as “weaker” or “inferior” by the person who is harassing them. Companies and employers can also be guilty of workplace harassment if they utilize discriminatory practices against persons based on ethnicity, country of origin, religion, race, color, age, disability, or sex. These discriminatory practices have been illegal since the passing of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Civil Rights Act of 1964), and have been amended to be more inclusive of other people who experience discrimination by the Civil Rights Act of 1991 (The Civil Rights Act of 1991), and most recently, President Obama’s signing of the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009 (Stolberg, 2009).
Temper is a volatile emotion and can be good or bad. Everyone loses their cool at one time or another, but how important is it to keep your cool? What actions are appropriate when you lose your temper? What causes you to lose your cool? What can you do to keep from losing your temper? As long as you can keep control, it motivates you to speak out for a much needed change and if you stay in touch with the right perspective then it is okay, but once you lose objectivity and rationality then you are likely to do something that can hurt yourself and/or others.
