Two Happiest Places on Earth? “I only hope that we never lose sight of one thing- that it was all started with a mouse.” Walter Elias Disney. Disney created two types of “fantasy worlds.” Disney World is in Florida and Disneyland is in California. To normal people, both Disney’s seem exactly the same. No one really knows the difference. But I am a Disney fanatic and can not help but wonder how people get these two confused. I have been to Disney World 10 times and Disneyland 3 times. My sister, Allyssa, is currently working down there for the college program. I hope to someday follow in her footsteps. Disney World and Disneyland are two totally different places with the location and size, the transportation, and the attractions. …show more content…

Disney World is larger, hence they need to have more transportation. They have over 100 busses to get from park to park and back to a resort. It is very convenient because there are at least two bus stops at every resort so guests do not have to walk all over (it does not seem like a big deal but when the day is done most guests end up walking over 15 miles.) The busses also drop them off right in front of the park. The only disadvantage of the busses is that guests could end up waiting for up to 20 minutes for the bus to come and there could be a long line to get onto the bus. Most of the time, especially during the busy seasons, they have a lot of busses running and are on top of the crowd control. Driving in Disney World would be nice because guests would not have to wait for the buses but there is one major downfall: parking! In the theme parks, guests have to pay to park. It also could be really far away from the entrance in the park. Disneyland does not have very many busses due to the fact that it is not a very big area of land. They do, however; have busses to transport people from resorts to the parks and back. Most of the time guests call taxis, drive themselves, or even walk to the park. The parking in Disneyland isn’t quite as far away from the park as it is in Disney World. However, it is more expensive. In conclusion, Disney World has a better transportation system than Disneyland. …show more content…

Both Disney World and Disneyland have a Magic Kingdom. In Magic Kingdom there are different sections making up the whole park. There is Tomorrowland, Adventureland, Frontierland, Fantasyland, and a Main Street. There are a lot of the same rides in Disney World as Disneyland. Some of them include The Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Thunder Mountain, It’s a Small World and so much more. The difference comes with the different theme parks. Disney World’s Animal Kingdom is based off of, just as it sounds, animals! There are different areas within this park too. There is Asia, Africa, and Dinoland. Each of these sections is themed with animals and rides for the name. Sadly, there are not any dinosaurs in DInoland. In Disney World’s Hollywood Studios everything is based off of movies. They are actually making a Star Wars Land and a Toy Story Land with rides based on them. In Disney World’s EPCOT there is a lot of learning going on there. It is based on how to save the planet. There is also a world showcase where guests can walk around a lake and there is little towns that represent a certain country. Each country has a little video, different food choices, and shops. Some of the countries even have rides. Disney World has many theme parks with a lot of attractions based on that theme. Disneyland only has one other park besides Magic
