In a perfect world, everyone is honest all the time. Therefore, everyone could trust each other wholeheartedly and never have to worry about the many forms of dishonesty. However, in this imperfect world, people are dishonest and many cannot trust each other. People find themselves doing whatever it takes to get ahead in life, even if there could be consequences. Often enough, their crooked behavior will begin school so they can make the grade. When students find themselves out in the real world, they employ unscrupulous tactics in order to gain promotions and a pay raise. Young employees are always looking for a higher paying position. They will do many dishonest things to get to the position they desire. Once in the position they were aiming for, they will feel as if they can do whatever they please. Being in a managerial position oftentimes leads to a person to take advantage of that power. In this position, it is quite easy to push other employees around and steal. Some managers tend to clock in and out whenever so they may get more hours and more pay. However, simply being untruthful with their hours isn’t always enough. In many cases, managers are in charge of keeping count of the inventory, which makes it virtually effortless to submit false information and keep things for themselves. When their corrupt activities are uncovered, they can just use their position to blame it all on an underling. From little white lies to serious crimes, those who choose to be dishonest are inevitably caught at some point in their lives. Those who are caught cheating in school may have to face all sorts of consequences, especially in college. College professors may be inclined to have students put on academic probation, or even push to have them expelled. If a student is expelled, it is unlikely that they will have another chance at getting their degree because other colleges will be discouraged from accepting said student. In this case, a person may have to work in the same place for the rest of their lives. If that person hasn’t learned his lesson, then he may carry on his unethical behavior. That person may be fired or possibly face jail time if they committed a serious crime such as embezzlement or fraud. Being dishonest in both school and work will most likely flow into your relationship, which causes stress in the relationship. Dishonesty in a relationship will soon cause your spouse to become suspicious and no longer trust you. Once the cheating has been exposed, in most cases, a breakup will occur.
