Distinction Nature and nurture in childhood: physical development The study of nature development refers to the inherited characteristics and tendencies, these are genetic, and these which are inherited help influence the development through childhood. Some inherited characteristics appear in virtually everyone, For instance, almost all children have the capacity to learn to walk, understand language, imitate others, use simple tools, and draw inferences about how other people view the world. The coding of genes in each cell determine the different traits which we have, more dominantly on the physical attributes like eye colour, hair colour, ear size, height, and other traits. Nature is things which we inherit and are born with through our genetics where nurture is what we have growing up with around us to help us shape our lives. Disease: During adulthood this is meant to be the prime time for stability and to thrive, you being to start families, have your own house, a satisfying and stable job and all these are a main part of adulthood. However we can also encounter disease which can stop you from fulfilling your life. Developing diseases can come from both nature and nurture, for example; if you’re to develop cancer this could be from natural causes or from the life style you have chosen and this is why you have this disease. If you decide to smoke then you are putting yourself at a high risk of getting cancer, especially; lung, throat, mouth etc. But you could be born with a disease which could prevent you from having children and not have a fulfilling prophecy. For example without having a family you are unable to put a purpose to your life. Disease such as; PCOS, endometriosis or infertility can stop you from having you own children; this is something from nature which stops
