The Diary of Anne Frank is a young German Jewish girl’s account of what happened to her and her family in Amsterdam during World War II between 1942 and 1944.

The reason that I have chosen to use this as a primary source describing the experience of Jewish people in Auschwitz-Birkenau is because “Anne” Frank’s diary has been translated into over sixty languages. Clearly, she is one of the most well-known Jewish Victims of the Holocaust.

“Anne” only became famous after her death in 1945 when her father Otto Frank was given her diary by Miep Geis, a German woman employed by Mr. Frank who worked in his factory. Miep helped The Franks when they

The report written by the German soldier was very confronting and had no expression of remorse or guilt, the soldier almost appears pleased with the experience of the Jewish people in Auschwitz-Birkenau.

The testimony by Abraham Eckstein about Hardships in Auschwitz-Birkenau is detailed and explains the experience of the Jewish treatment in the Auschwitz death camp. He answers questions in court about the experiences he had in the camp which, which defines the inhumane treatment of the Jewish in Germany.

These sources are parallel experiences of Jewish people in Auschwitz-Birkenau, one is the account of a young German Jewish girl’s fight to survive during the invasion of the Nazi’s. Whilst the other is a description of the version of events carried out by Nazi Germany for the industrial-scale mass murder of Jews in by way of gas chambers. Whilst the third source is about the arrival and preparation of the Jewish to work at the camp.
