“Are celebrities good role models”? Many people would argue that celebrities are “just like us.” Being a person who has been heavily influenced by celebrities, I would have to disagree with that statement. Of course they are human like anyone else, and they want the same things “normal people” do, too. But the big difference between us and them is that is that they have the power to influence people, whether it is in a positive or negative light. When I talk about celebrities, I mostly refer to actors, since those are the ones that have influenced my life. Actors can be great examples of what it means to be good role models, as their lives and choices can have an impact on anyone's life, and they can profoundly change them for the better.
First of all, many celebrities have used

There are countless celebrities who were bullied in their childhood, such as Tom Cruise. Being on the smaller side, Tom had a hard time in school, not only because he was bullied, but because he was dyslexic as well, which did not do him any favors. He thrown into lockers, trash cans, and the school pool on the daily. He found a home in the theatre, where he found a haven with people who were just like him.
I never take the subject of bullying lightly, since I suffered from the same thing up until middle school. I always wish I had found all of these people sooner so I knew that it would get better. But since I did not, I thought the best way to avoid any problems was to make myself invisible, which I did. But after I found them, I knew there was a way out.
I joined theatre and choir in high school and now I cannot stop talking. I have become loud and outgoing; I made myself visible again. Like Tom, I have found a home, and like Jenn, I am accepting who I am as a person. And, even though, I am not a stage of complete confidence, I am getting there. Slowly but surely, I am getting
After observing and researching all the sources portraying celebrities I have came into a conclusion that todays society it seems like all we want is to be accepted and we tend to look at other people and judge. Its not right, we all are different and thats what makes the world go round. It would be a pretty boring world if we were all the same. Celebrities deal with this everyday, I think the paparazzi know more about some celebrities lives than they actually do. They judge them for who they are and what they do, it is not right nor fair.

What kind of example are these celebrities providing to teenagers when they can barely control their life? Role models are supposed to be someone you admire, someone you look up to and try and follow their example. Not someone who lives a fake life and you barely know. As stated in an article called “Why this generation is so completely obsessed with the idea of Celebrity” Adam Pliskin explains the real reason why we follow celebrities as much as we do. This is because we secretly want fame ourselves.
Modern Celebrity: A Hero? It's recurrently said that celebrities are not heroic by any means. You read long essays written by high school aged students on the many differences between a modern celebrity and someone who is a hero or heroine, and it seems to be a rare case to come across an article or paper on how a modern celebrity is capable of fitting the criteria of being stouthearted, noble, and a good person in general. The differences written in these papers always seem practically identical on why they're are far from heroes: “heroes help save lives, help others in need, don't care about money or Grammy awards, while celebrities are people who were put on a pedestal, save boredom, only care about themselves, and are complete attention seekers.”
We are part of a generation that is obsessed with celebrity culture. Celebrities are distinctive. Media and consumers alike invented them to be a different race of super beings: flawless, divine and above all the real moral world. In a 1995 New York Times article “In contrast, 9 out of 10 of those polled could think of something
Are today's superstars really role models for today’s youth? I think they are! So many people in the entertainment business set great examples for our youth to strive for the best and most out of life. Take musicians they really come through in times of need. Take this past few weeks with the tragedies in New York City and Washington D. C they have helped organize relief funds and benefit concerts for the families who lost their loved ones. They went to the scenes and helped out by passing out food and water. This I think sets a good positive outlook for today's youth. It shows that not everything is about glamour and that these superstars are affected by this as well and everyone needs to lend a hand.

With celebrities all over the media, it is expected that some are idolized by their fans, especially the youths. There nothing wrong with people making celebrities their role models. Celebrity role models can be a positive influence by changing people’s lives and way of thinking for the better. On the other hand, when impressionable kids and teens see their celebrity role models do something that is not morally sound, they will come to think that it is acceptable making it more likely for them to do it. This raises the question: should celebrities be role models? For the most part no. Bullying is a repeated harmful act that continues to affect millions of students every year. There is no stereotypical person that is a target for bullying; anyone can be its victim. There may not always be any signs of physical harm during these attacks, but our children always suffer emotional harm. Educating students, teachers and parents seems to be the only valid solution to this problem. There are many organizations that can educate the schools on this subject but for it to work people must care. Maybe one day, when enough people realize that this problem will not go away with out their help, we can eliminate bullying from our schools. In a perfect world there would be no bullying, but if you could ask Rachel Scott she would tell you we do not live in a perfect world, only a hopeful one.
Bullying of students in school is an abuse that affects and produces a number of negative experiences on the victim. It is proven that those students who bully do so merely because they see themselves superior than those being bullied. There are a large variety of people in the world and they all care about certain issues to varying degrees. Celebrities fall well into this category. People fall between two ends of the spectrum when it comes to celebrities. Following them as die hard fans and caring for them on unimaginable levels, or could care less about them because they are people just the same as you see in your everyday life. Regardless of how someone feels about celebrity culture it is nearly impossible to argue against the fact that they are of huge relevance in our society. As with most things, there are upsides and downsides to this celebrity, "normal person" dichotomy we have created. These are regular people having such huge pressures and power over large masses
Many believe that celebrities have a negative impact on society and teens, where they are seen as role models. Role models are celebrities, such as athletes, singers, actors, or can even be teens parents. Celebrities are a huge part of how society is seen and what is put on social media 24/7, and although some teens believe that celebrities make good role models by influencing charity work, the bad behavior that celebrities exhibit outweighs the positive. Celebrities do not make good role models due to inferior, inappropriate, or illegal behavior. On the other hand, celebrities also should not be expected to act a certain way just so that they can teach kids how to act and have the responsibility to act like parents. A good reputation is important, but not when it changes a person from whom they
