Wireless technology can be defined as a technology, such as PDAs, that tend to utilize radio waves to receive and transmit signals. Wireless technology is also used for information transmission. Radio waves are an imperative piece of the vitality that we use to convey information that allows electronic devices speak and interact with one another by way of exchanging information. The expression "wireless" indicates that the interchanges are sent without wires or links. Delta Airlines keeps the customers in mind when adding new systems. They always put the customer first. When Delta developed the Mobile application, Delta fly, just like all the rest of the travel applications available, it allowed an individual the ability to book flights. What separates this one from the others is that you can track your flight, track your baggage, and also pay for your bags. Basically, it makes everything that makes the check-in process easier and quicker when checking in. While American Airlines has a mobile application; it does not surpass all that Delta’s can do. Delta also utilizes social media by providing access to the customer, through Facebook and twitter. Delta even offers in-flight Wi-Fi and USB power outlets. At many of the top airports that Delta flies in and out of, it offers charging ports to its customers. However, it is Delta’s iPhone application that no doubt helped propel this airline to be named “Top Tech-Friendly U.S. Airline” by PCWorld Magazine in 2012 (). Among the many things it can do is track and pay for checked baggage! Other airlines including Delta are working aggressively to add and upgrade their planes with Wi-Fi, advanced video-on-demand systems, streaming content, and power outlets, as well as improved Web and application capabilities. Its mobile application not only lets you use your device as an electronic boarding pass, but it will also give you boarding and baggage claim alerts. However, it is lacking the flight tracking capabilities that Delta offers. Just like Delta, American Airlines has gate tables that come complete with charging stations and even allows the ability to plug into the AC power outlet. This way you are all charged-up and ready for American Airlines available in-flight Wi-Fi.
