Success should be as individual as the people who define it. Most people believe that if you have attained wealth, then you have become successful. This is not necessarily a true statement. Success can come in many shapes and forms, and is ever-evolving as you move from one endeavor to the next. The one factor I believe, the thread that seem to run through every purpose or achievement that is noteworthy, is character; and within the properties or character of a champion are the traits of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty, and persistence.

If you have a goal in mind and you want to be the very best at something, what do you think that’s called? It may be different for you, but personally, I call it perfection. Getting in the habit of persistence is basically getting in the habit for victory, and victory in another form is success. Everyone wants to succeed, I firmly believe this, because who really wants an unfulfilling life? How bad you desire something, and how much energy you’re willing to put into it, and doing that on a consistent basis is persistence. Not giving up, and proceeding to do the right thing, even though it may be hard at times. Everything worth working for has those rough patches, the bad days, and lowest of the lows, but it’s all how you perceive it. Despite how tough it may be to continue working at something should not be a main focus. It’s the way you can overcome, and keep pushing through those obstacles that may seem impossible.
