Love to me is knowing that my family will always be there for me, marrying my best friend, and my son. Love is standing by each other during the worst storms and coming back on top stronger than ever.
Family love is unconditional, meaning it’s timeless, and everlasting. The love that my family and I share is an unbreakable bond, even on the days that we would like to strangle each other. It’s when you’re young and your mom is being strict and you think she’s the meanest person in the world, but you know deep down she’s only doing it because the love she has for you. It’s when you and your brother fight like cats and dogs but you would never let anyone else harm each other. The greatest part of family is that they will love you no matter the mistakes you make and you can always be yourself.

The love that my husband and I share is magical, even with hard times and hitting our limits with each other our love continues growing. Most of all, we must be committed to those we love. Of course, this is only my opinion. No matter how long I try to explain what love is ultimately it is up to you, the reader, to define what love is to you. So let me leave you now with the words of the great Humanist Erich Fromm, "Can anything be learned about the art of love, except by practicing it?"
According to William Shakespeare’s quote, “Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind”, Love is a feeling rather than something seen with the natural eye. Mediating on this quote I have to agree with the author based on my spiritual love that I share with the man above with whom I have never seen. In comparison, loving a person to an Inanimate, Loving a person feels like you cannot live with out that person and loving an inanimate is just something you adore. Before we get into love, first you have to understand what it truly means.

As I explored the definition by means of the Internet, books, and articles I noticed the definitions changed quite a bit, but yet had the same basic understanding. The definition I found in The Encarta Encyclopedia was probably the most simple and most basic. It refers to love in the whole aspect, which is Godly, fraternal, and romantic. All in which can only be defined by one word and that it love.
Many people have different perspectives when it comes to the topic of love. The word love has been tossed around by everybody and not very many people really understand the true meaning of love. There are some exceptions, but I think this is especially true for teenagers and young adults. I might be one of those people who do not fully understand the topic of love, but I hope to better understand the topic of love and its true meaning is this course.
My family is a love I have. My immediate family consists of six people: my dad, mom, and three sisters and me. However, I love these people on a different scale than I love books. Whether it is a hand to guide, a tissue to wipe away tears, or simply a smile to make my day better I can count on people to love me and so, henceforth, I love them in return. I love my parents for many reasons. They are always there for me when I need help or am need of anything.
