The Merriam Webster dictionary defines strong as striking or superior of its kind. It also defines woman as an adult female person. Strong woman in this context would mean that she is an adult female person who is striking or superior in kind. I agree with the definition, but I would like to add my own opinion and experiences to that. A strong woman in my opinion is someone who knows who she is, stands up for herself, she is happy, she challenges herself, and admits she doesn’t have all the answers. She holds characteristics like loyalty and trustworthy. She is a leader, supporter, and guider. She is bright, bold, beautiful, and loveable. She holds joy, love, peace, and happiness. Having a child at an early age afforded me the opportunity to become a very strong and independent woman. I’m not afraid to break a sweat or go the extra mile to achieve my goals. I am very loyal to my goals and my future. As the guider and supporter I am there for my family and friends when they need me. I am the backbone of my little family. I have to take in consideration my son’s future and lead him in the right direction. I am a superior example for him. I know that he is looking up to me. I have gone through what many people would call hardships or negative things and turned them into positive outcomes. Many may look at having a child at a young age as a setback but I look at is as a experience that made me into the strong woman I am today. I am very self-aware and continually growing into my true self. I am currently cultivating my own interests. I understand and appreciate my own strengths, then use those strengths to achieve my own success. I strive to create a positive environment for myself and my family. I challenge myself to continue growing and pushing unfamiliar boundaries.
