Injuries are very serious to the human body, playing sports makes the risks even higher. Certain sports can cause different injuries, SLAP tears are an injury more common with sports putting a focus on the shoulder. SLAP tears can happen to any number of people though, there are a variety of ways the injury can occur. When dealing with a SLAP tear, following the doctors are important for healing, prevention and correcting the injury, if the tear is awful enough surgery will be an option, injuries are not something that anyone, especially athletes, want to deal with.

Symptoms that can conclude you have a SLAP tear are popping, locking, or grinding, pain with movement, unable to do everyday things, pain lifting heavy objects, decrease in shoulder strength and decrease in range of motion. More symptoms are, throbbing or aching while doing easy household chores, discomfort while sleeping, and the feeling of your shoulder catching on itself.
