Name of Role Model: Danica Patrick Insert Picture here: Biography: Danica Patrick was born on March 25, 1982 in Beloit, Wisconsin. Her parents are T.J. and Bev Patrick. She dropped out of high school so that she could pursue her love of racing. She first started her career in England. In England, she was the first woman who placed second in the Formula Ford Festival event. She was also the first American to place this high in the event. In 2005, Danica Patrick became the fourth woman to race in the Indianapolis 500 and she finished fourth. Fourth place was the highest placement ever for a female driver. She was one of the first women to be incredible at car-racing. She was definitely discriminated against for that. She was looked down upon by the men. But, she knew what she could do.
