Throughout history, technology has played an important role in our society. Most importantly it can be seen through America’s most prominent religious leaders routinely employ Twitter to deliver 140 characters of religious inspiration. Thus, the use of technology such as Twitter is to enhance the way we communicate and how effectively we can communicate to one another. Especially seeing prominent leaders such as His Holiness the Dalai Lama using Twitter by means of personal communication that outreaches to followers who can be given the opportunity to be counseled or even followers to have fellowship by the subject and tone of messages perceived through his tweets. Thus for us to understand humankind we must acknowledge that each of us depends on another being in order to gain an understanding of how we gain a sense of life. Therefore, the value of life is to help us understand that humanity needs everyone to cooperate with so that the humankind can gain a sense of peace because we have each other. At times, we think that life values revolve around ourselves but here His Holiness the Dalai Lama implies life is more valuable because we have each other. Once we acknowledge one another it “leads to friendship.” As a result, “friendship doesn’t depend on fame, money or physical strength. It’s based on trust and trust depends on love and affection” as he later tweets. How is this done you may ask. The answer is simple. His Holiness the Dalai Lama makes us think twice about life.
