Console Wars: PS4 vs. Xbox One

Ever since there have been video games to play there have been huge debates over which video game console was actually the best console of them all. Each new generation of consoles are better than the last. The PlayStation4, commonly referred to as the “PS4”, is the best gaming console to date, and provides its users with the best online gaming experience than the Xbox One based on its hardware, online services, and its accessories.

Today's video games are becoming more and more realistic, and that means that the basic hardware of the console is being better developed to incorporate the changes gamers want so much. The PS4 has a one of a kind CPU, central processing unit, aptly named the 8-core single-chip x 86 AMD “Jaguar”, but in more simple terms it means that the computer chip inside the PS4 is more power efficient and runs more smoothly with less lag. On the other hand, the Xbox One has a 8-core Microsoft custom CPU, and it uses a lot of power, and runs less smoothly which causes a greater lag period between when you press a button on the controller to when the action occurs on the screen. Something that has bothered gamers as far as the console itself is the hard-drive. The PS4 is far more advanced when it comes to its hard-drive, and that is because it has a removable 500gb which can be upgraded when larger hard-drives become available. The Xbox One has a non-removable 500gb hard-drive which is non-upgradeable, and that means that a Xbox One player would have to buy a whole new separate external hard-drive in order to continue saving information, or just completely buy a new Xbox One. ... speaker, and share button for Facebook. The Xbox One controllers are difficult to use and bulky. The joysticks on the Xbox One are super extended and awkward to use. Also the jell grips on top of the joysticks make it uncomfortable for serious gaming. The camera accessory is used for hands-free controlling, because your body is the controller. The PS4 camera called “The Eye” displays everything in 1080p and has four microphones built-in. The Kinect camera for the Xbox One only displays in 720p and has no microphones. A great addition to virtual accessories are pack-in games which are games that are already preloaded into the console's hard-drive. The PS4 has a pack-in game called, “The Playroom”, which is a whole game in itself with trophies that have to be obtained in order to complete the game. The Xbox One has no built-in games and offers no other pack-in items.
