Cesar Chavez and Martin Luther King Jr. Cesar Chavez and Martin Luther King Jr. are both big heros to everyone. Cesar Chavez fought to be heard and fought for rights. Martin Luther King Jr. fought for equality and freedom. Both Cesar and Martin had a big dream and succeeded it. To this day we are all still thankful. Cesar Chavez was a young boy when him and his parents(Migrated) to Arizona. People would disagree with him and wouldn’t listen to him and what he would fight for. Cesar was a great man, fighting for what seems right. He wouldn’t let his dreams of fighting for his rights be ruined.
Together these two figures touched the lives of the people they fought for. Trying their hardest and giving all they had to correct the injustice that was happening. America is a melting pot for all different kinds of cultures and for their to be discrimination of any kind should not be tolerated. Both are very effective as I will show. Jonathon Edward's "{Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God", describes his views of a vengeful God and man as sinners. Martin Luther King's "I Have A Dream" is known as one of the most motivational speeches ever given. I would like to begin by describing what these two powerful speakers and speeches have in common, and will include their differences as well.
Cesar chavez (1927-1993) was a civil rights leader. He is most famous for creating the National Farm Workers Association. Chavez grew up in Arizona on his family’s farm. When the depression hit, Chavez was 11 years old, and his family lost their farm and were forced to become migrant workers. The working conditions on the farms Chavez and his family worked on were horrible. This later inspired him to make a union for farm workers, the National Farm Workers Association. He is known for being an activist of civil rights for Latinos, rights for farm workers, and also for animal rights.
Through the years, individuals have shown that a single man can make a difference. Men who, when committed to a cause, will rise up with honor, integrity, and courage. Cesar Chavez was such a man. He represented the people and rose above his self concerns to meet the needs of the people. Cesar Chavez showed us that, “The highest form of freedom carries with it the greatest measure of discipline.” He lived by this standard and fought freedom with the highest form of dignity and character.
Cesar Chavez was an effective leader for many reasons, but mostly it was because he never gave up. Chavez was born on his grandfather’s farm during the Great Depression. When he was still young, his family lost their farm and became migrant workers meaning they had to move many times. Chavez attended 36 schools up until eighth grade when he dropped out of school to help his family out with the farming. While he worked in the farms, he was exposed to the hardships of farm life. Since then, Chavez decided that he did not want anyone else that was a farm worker to experience the same things he did. He wanted to follow in the steps of Martin Luther King Jr and Gandhi to protest in a nonviolent way.
The two people i'm doing are Cesar Chavez and Nelson Mandela. They are two of the most heroic people in history. But in my opinion I think that Cesar Chavez had help out more people than Mandela. Chavez went through boycotts,hunger strikes,and marches to help people out. And Mandela went through years in prison.
Martin Luther King and Malcolm X were two of the most important people. in black history. With their struggle to make America view black. people as equals, their speeches were inspirational and always made. their message clear and clear.

He seek for a better working community and a better paying program for the migrants he established a minimum wage for the farm working people. Chavez helped them to see the way to a better productive life by improving their working conditions and by showing them how to do it for themselves working together as a union led them to a better working community. Chavez was fighting for farmers payday and work , farmers were fatigue they were not treated as farmer. The way I see this is that farmers in that era were slaves

This shows that Cesar Chavez made a difference in people’s lives, including Senator Robert’s. Some people may say that immigrants are bad people but Cesar Chavez was an immigrant himself yet, also a hero to the country. Experts say he was an American farm worker, labor leader, and a civil rights activist. This shows that he fought for what he believed in. Being a farm worker wasn’t something he planned on doing but he had no choice because he was an immigrant. He saw how cruel Americans were treating immigrants so he fought for their rights. He spoke for all the immigrants everywhere. The Cesar Chavez Foundation mentioned that at age 11, his family lost their farm during the great depression and became migrant farm workers. This shows how and why Cesar Chavez fought for farmworkers rights. He grew up not having the best childhood but he took others lives into consideration and fought for them to have a better and brighter

Both had visualized some type of change in the future, yet were not literally able to see it. Both Dr. King and Malcolm X set out to bring a sense of confidence to blacks all over the United States.
Martin Luther King Jr. and Nelson Mandela are well known global icons, political figures, spiritual leaders, and respected world leaders. Their lives were very parallel by the way they sacrificed their whole life in the works of civil rights for those in their country. Both Mandela and King had similarities and differences including; fighting for civil rights, imprisonment, and actions taken while fighting for civil rights.
Does it really matter how words are used if they are used to make a change for the better? Martin Luther king Jr. is considered an icon. Tupac Shakur is also another man that some would call an icon. Although these two men had different ways of expressing themselves, they both had the same idea, which racism needs to end.
The definition of a leader is a person who influences people to a common purpose. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr are examples of great leaders who brought about social change through alternative means in the 20th century. Their means were through nonviolent protests of freedom. Gandhi fought for freedom from Great Britain, and King fought for freedom from segregation and equal rights for all Americans.
