Die Happy Or Live Terrible As far as i'm concerned it is better to die with integrity than to live to harm others. To die with integrity you would have to understand it first. Integrity is when you understand the consequences of your leadership among others. Also when you have to be honest with the way you live. Finally it is when you have powerful morals. For instance in The Crucible Proctor had to choose if he wanted to die for the rights of the community or if he wanted to live for the wrongs of the community. If you are a leader you have to understand that; when you do something it has a massive amount of consequences. When you are a leader people look up to you. If you don't believe in yourself how can the people of the community believe in you? For instance in The Crucible. Proctor's wife was accused of being a witch and if he didn't convince the court she wasn't she was gonna be executed. In order for him to convince the court he had to confess to the one sin he never wanted to talk about. He admitted to committing adultery with Abigail. Witchcraft was a huge problem in Salem. The community thought the judges was taking it too far they had already killed over 700 citizens. Proctor's wife Rebecca cared way too much of her husband's image as a preacher she lied on the stand and said he didn't commit adultery. The court sentenced them both to be executed in 2 weeks if they did not confess.The judges tried to make them confess because if they confessed it would make the people of Salem believe that the 700 that already died really were witches. Proctor did not confess he felt strongly about his wife not consulting in witchcraft. After Procter is executed the courts are overthrown and they can not excuse anyone else of witchcraft. Proctor died with integrity everyone of the community praised him for his brave
