John Proctor and I are very similar. John Proctor is a character from the The Crucible, where he is a farmer in Salem Massachusetts. He is a honest man that works hard but is not liked by the Reverend in Salem. Both he and his wife are accused of witchcraft. He dies but she does not. John and I are similar in how rational we think, how hard working we are, and how intelegente we are. Just like John Proctor I am a very rational person. In the story John is the first person to know that the girls have been faking all along. He thought out what the girls were doing and it only made sense for him to think that they were faking. In The Crucible John is one of the most intelligent people in the town but no one knows this. When he discloses that the girls are faking and have proof of it only a few people listen. A few of the girls in town said that they were faking all along. He goes to court with some of the other people whose wives are in jail for witchcraft and argue their case. He tried to manipulate the court by approaching the judges without court being in session. Since it was not in session there could be no record of what was being said so he could practically say anything he wanted to without there being any punishment. This was a great idea until someone messed it up and court did go in session and from there things went downhill. He used other people's experience to help him. One of the people he was in court with was there 33 times, so this helped him. When in trouble I use other people not only to help me through something but also learn from it. Learning from past experiences is one thing that I find very valuable in today's world. If we as a nation do not learn from the past we will repeat it which is bad for everyone. I am still working on this because I am not that old but have been learning from other
