College and NBA basketball aren’t that different they have many similarities and many differences. The main difference is that College has halves and NBA has quarters, The Shot clock is different too. College is 35 seconds and NBA is 24 seconds , The shooting distance is different from the 3pt line. In college you only get 5 fouls before you foul out and in the NBA you get 6. In my opinion College basketball is way more competitive and way more emotional than the NBA. The few similarities are, They both have a 10 ft basket height and the same free throw line. The upsets in college are probably the best things to see in sports. The whole crowd storms the court and that’s true passion to a sport and a team.The NBA has a bigger future with their rookies than college with their freshman. College basketball players have to Graduate from high school, Pass these 16 core courses:4 years English ,3 years Math (Algebra I or higher),2 years Natural/physical science (1 year of lab if offered by high school), 2 years Social Science, 1 year Your choice of additional English OR Math OR Science, 4 years Any of above OR foreign language OR non-doctrinal religion/philosophy. Satisfy the GPA and test score requirements on the Division I sliding scale. Depending on your test scores, you will need a GPA somewhere between 2.0 and 3.55+ to qualify for any kind of sports. The players in college have to do alot more just to be able to even play but then they have to try even harder to keep their spot when they play so they are always focused and very dedicated during the sport
