Great Britain’s food culture and society are a little different than the food culture and society in the United States. The 65.64 million people that live in Great Britain live life eating traditional foods like Yorkshire pudding, roast meats, fish and chips, Shepherd's pie, and more.They have tea breaks every day and eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner just like in the United States. They always try to eat with proper manners and call food in America different names than what they are commonly called. Health care is free and the average income is about £23,486 ($31,470 in U.S. dollars). The obesity rate is higher than most in Europe and the smoking rate is higher than the rate in the United States. The life in Great Britain is a bit different and it would be interesting to visit.
A common English breakfast consists of eggs, bacon, sausages, fried bread, mushrooms and baked beans. Breakfast is eaten between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. The traditional English breakfast is typically called the “Full Engish” and is sometimes referred to as the “Full English Fry-up”. Dinner is eaten anytime between 6:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. a typical meal eaten for dinner is called ‘meat and two veg’. There is usually a meat with gravy and typically potatoes. Many people in Great Britain eat with the etiquette people in America rarely see anymore. If a person has been invited to dinner at a house the proper manners is to never sit down as soon as you arrive. Do not rest your elbows on the table, do not chew with your mouth open and always use a knife and fork. If a person is invited to dinner at a restaurant, the proper thing to do is to pay for the meal if you were the person that gave the invitation. Dinner is the most proper time of the day and it is always a good idea to be respectful while eating
