JJ graduated from High School and went to Duke University. In 2006 JJ decided that his college day are over and that he would enter the NBA draft. In June of 2006, JJ was the 11th of the 1st round and was drafted by the Orlando Magic. JJ made his NBA debut on November 25, 2006 against the Atlanta Hawks. Coming off the bench he scored only 2 points, 1 assist, and 1 rebound. JJ was not getting playing minutes and was upset about. In January of 2008, JJ asked his agent if he could be traded. So his agent did his job. During the trading deadline in February, the Magic decided not to trade JJ. In the 2008-2009 season, JJ was averaging 17.4 minutes a game and played 64 games. In the 2009-2010 season, the Magic went all the way to the NBA finals and they was going against the Los Angeles Lakers. Sadly, Kobe Bryant was to much for the Magic and the Lakers won won the series in 5 games 4 to 1. In February of 2013, JJ was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks. But only spend one season with the Bucks and was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers. Teaming up with Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, and DeAndre Jordan and became a great team.
