The 17 year old, soon to be All-Star, Kobe Bryant standing at 6 foot 6 inches, was drafted as the 13th draft pick in 1996 to the Charlotte Hornets for the position of small forward and shooting guard. He wasn’t on there for long though, he was traded during the draft to the Los Angeles Lakers for Vlade Divac. He said “Charlotte never wanted me," Bryant said. “Cowens told me he didn't want me. It wasn't a question of me even playing here. They had a couple of guards already, a couple small forwards already. So it wasn't like I would be off the bench much." In the 2005-2006 season Kobe Bryant scores the second highest points in NBA history of 81 points, he averages about 32 points a game that season. That season in the playoffs they lost to the Suns in the first round and the next year in the 2006-2007 season the same thing happens. In the 2007-2008 season the Lakers get Paul Gasol and Kobe Bryant is happy and makes it to the finals but loses to the Boston Celtics in the 6th game of finals. In the 2008-2009 season, Kobe Bryant Finally wins another NBA title, his 4th one.
