Recommended: Climate change impacting the ocean

While watching this video, I kept saying to myself “something needs to be done.” Not only is the price of seafood going to increase, but people are being put out of jobs. The Crabber mentioned how much change he has noticed in a span of over 30 years. I wonder what could happen in another 30 years if regulations are not put in place to help the bays rebirth. Yes. I do believe the bay is making a rebirth. It was mentioned on page 206 the Chesapeake Bay Foundation brought awareness to this conflict in 1967. I personally believe the concern for the economy is what pushed politicians and community members to get in board with the CBF. This is one fact which helped put regulations in order to help speed up the recovery process. It was

A number of smaller fisheries have gone out of business because of the limits imposed by the government. This leads to even less fish being harvested and brought to market. Therefore the amount and varieties of fish at markets are smaller and can cause shortages for wholesalers and restaurants. Some restaurants will no longer have the variety on their menus that they used to enjoy.
