Checks and Balances Simulation Reflection This week a new president was elected. My job is too see how the tree branches are using checks and balances. I got to go and see how president Langlois and the rest of the three branches used checks and balances. Checks and balances that are used in the three branches to make sure that one branch does not get too much power. On day one, a bill was presented to the Legislative branch, the branch that makes laws, in the House of Representatives. The bill was about taking away violence on TV. They disagreed with this bill so the Congress men and women started to rewrite the bill. In the Senate, they started to write a bill about animal research funding. Later that day the day checks and balances were used when the Judicial Branch, the branch that makes sure that laws are constitutional, made sure that the other branches were not getting too powerful and that they law the president signed was constitutional. The Judicial Branch said that the animal researching funding law was constitutional because it did not break anything in the constitution. They thought that it was a common issue and they they founding would increase over time. On the last day I got to see the three branches, I got to interview vice president Gabby Klas. She said that they were focusing more on education than military. In the cabinet, they were disagreeing what they should do about the subjects. There was a rumor about putting cannons on everything but that will not be happening. As of right now the Executive Branch's main focus is Lowering Taxes. After that I found out that the Senate was working on a bill with limiting prison resources and there was a bill presented to the president about increasing military defences.
