The ideal of family is portrayed in many different ways through pop-culture. I will be focusing on how the concept Family is perceived in the movie Cheaper by the Dozen. Dir. Shawn Levy. Perf. Steve Martin, Bonnie Hunt, and Hilary Duff. 2003. Film. Compared to how it is perceived in the television show Wife swap. Dir. James Coate. 2004. These two pop-culture texts show a vastly different representation of family and share little similarity.
