The ideal of family is portrayed in many different ways through pop-culture. I will be focusing on how the concept Family is perceived in the movie Cheaper by the Dozen. Dir. Shawn Levy. Perf. These two pop-culture texts show a vastly different representation of family and share little similarity. One factor that stood out to me a lot that can be contrasted between the two texts is the image of family. In Cheaper by the Dozen you get the image of an all American kind of family.
