Character is the sum of what makes the attributes of a leader. It is who you are; how you act and the choices you will decide to make in life. This will determine the direction that you head in life.. Although integrity is part of character it is considered part of the foundation. For this paper I have decided to cover integrity and do some examination of how it affects Character. This paper will introduce the definitions of Character and integrity. Then I will examine how Christ modeled these leadership defining qualities, How we can make them applicable to ourselves. Character is important, in a study the US army has over twenty-three character traits that define what a leader is. Character as defined By the Merriam-Webster dictionary is this, “the way someone thinks, feels, and behaves : someone's personality.” In leadership it is paramount that a leader has the introspective and the wisdom to understand what is happening with themselves. Having A strong Character in Leadership is important because those around us will look at us and see what morals and values we hold and do. We can have standards and say the type of character we value but ultimately how we conduct ourselves is the foundation on which we stand. There is no other way. People around us will see us and how we behave, think, and feel, and this will determine rather or not the goal you have set out to accomplish or the goal the organization envisions you work at will be accomplished. This is where having strong integrity comes to play it is a trait that supports your character, corrupt integrity, corrupt character. Like A garden; Good soil will produce a harvest, but without good soil it will remain barren. Integrity is like a filter for water it is purifying... ... middle of paper ... ...o live by a higher standard as my leaders here at Bethel have exemplified greatly, and invested massive amounts of time into me and others to strive for. God is good and one of mercy, but He is just and grace cannot be openly abused but for so long in his eyes when we know the truth but cast it for a character that reflects us as Children of the devil. I desire to be a leader of people and to set people free from addictions as I have. Therefore I must scorn the nature I dismiss and cover with whispers of self-exaltation. I must drag the inner side of my life out to the forges and let the hammer of the Holy spirit shape me into the being God created me to be. Then I will cultivate the calling on my life and everything I need to accomplish and do in this life for the glory of God and His kingdom which is coming soon and may I be ready for such a time as then and now.
