Vignette #1: The Blood Brothers

Parker is the friendliest person you know. He starts off slow with others, but once you get to know each other, you feel like he is your long lost brother. Parker and I are basically Thing 1 and Thing 2. Brothers some people might add. We’re always there for each other no matter what the situation is. From picking each other up after a fight to picking each other up from on the turf of a football field. No one can get in the way of us and no one ever will. Parker and I are brothers. Some people might say we are just really good friends, but they are very wrong.
Parker met me in the 7th grade. Instantly when we looked at each other I felt some sort of a connection. I felt the force within the both of us circling around us, showing me and him that the brothers have been reunited. We are the two souls that have been resurrected from the ground. I was lucky to be introduced to Parker, by my guidance counselor whom thought I was a great guy to get to know new kids. We started to talk a bit and hang out a bit. After a few days of chilling with him, I was for sure that we had the same blood in us. He had become my brother and my best friend. We had some fights, but we always got over it within an hour or two. We have the same exact personality. We do the same things. We pick each other up after the hardest moments of our lives. I put my hand on his shoulder one day when he was crying about something personal, I stood there and whispered, “Everything will be okay, you have nothing to worry about, just keep following your dreams and you will find happiness.” I will never regret the day I met Parker. For he is my brother.

No matter how many records are broken or how much achievements are made I will always have that upper hand. Everybody wants to be on the top. They want to star on television, interviews, and award shows, something that will make them famous. I will admit I want to be like that too, but I won’t be greedy about it.
I don’t want to be a soul that does not reach the high grounds. I want to be a soul that reaches the top of the gates in heaven. I want to be in paradise and that is the gym. The place where all the magic starts is the place where dreams can begin. I will start my journey from there and work through all the hardships that are coming my way. Pride will always go before a fall because I will never fall.
