In A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle, Meg Murry overcomes evil. Meg journeys through the world of Camazotz that has given into evil. Charles Wallace gets drawn into “IT’ and it is Meg’s job to save him. Throughout the novel, A Wrinkle in Time, Meg proves to be a character who shows self- doubt, learns that love is very powerful, and understands she does not have to be like everybody else. In A Wrinkle in Time Meg has a lot of self-pity and self-doubt inside of her. She tends to compare herself to her mom often. Meg thinks that she is ¨repulsive-looking¨ and fails to see that everybody is unique. She has a character versus self conflict. Meg acts like she is horrible because her father is gone and she needs attention from her family.
