Catholic Church

I recently attended my home Church weekly prayer ceremony for the first time. Upon entrance, everyone was greeting one another informally, talking to each other and practicing different kinds of hymns and music. A few moments later they formed into a group and started informal prayer with a few of them singing an Anglican chant. The singing leader greeted all of the people in the name of the Lord. The greetings were typically Christian that stated that the Lord is listening and empowers our worship. During the whole opening and pre Church activity, everyone was standing. After the pre Church informal prayer and greetings, the pastor began the starting prayers, praising the Lord and our savior Jesus Christ. People were still standing during the praising session and each time the pastor lead the prayer, the audience chanted Amen in return.

The prayer was the formal call for confession, followed by the people’s confession and then silence afterwards for a brief period. The silence was broken by the pastor in words of assurance that forgiveness has been granted by the Lord and the people replied with joy …show more content…

The Church style was traditional. The prayer type was also very formal and the whole worship session included numerous traditional structures. The structure of the Church was very simple with most of the work done using wood and wood carving. Glass windows were painted red and green with displaying Jesus Christ being crucified. Polished wood benches were present for sitting purposes with matching desks for studying or placing the Holy Bible. Music and song selections were average. Most of the musical sessions were in the forms of short hymns. People’s involvement during the procession was very high. They sang along the choirs and responded to each and every line of the musical with Amen. Also, the participation in the confession session was exemplary. The overall service was above
