The Angry Birds game created such a cult following that it was inevitable for a movie to be created about it. Other popular video games like Pac Man have been created into other forms of media like TV shows and other video games that exist, so why shouldn’t angry birds be on this list as well. Angry Birds Movie was arguably more successful than many other spin off movies for any video game franchise, especially since it soared in box offices. This kind of movie will allow for new spin offs and help the brand become more and more popular, especially when releasing more games out and when they plan on releasing more movies. The movie had an extremely successful run, especially in foreign countries around the world. The Angry Birds Movie also …show more content…
This has been marketed especially to kids for pajamas and regular everyday shirts for young kids with the different types of birds that they have in each video game. This form of marketing helps with brand recognition especially when in large stores like Target and Toys R Us. The Angry Birds toys are typically separated by the brand, making the toys easy to find within large stores and extremely recognizable to any kid who walks through a toy aisle. There are toys ranging from figurines to stuffed animals. Even merchandise like lunch boxes and backpacks with birds from Angry Birds are sold all around, and they are ideal for the average elementary school student. All the merchandise that is sold for the brand is central towards their typical target audience, especially figurines and the backpacks sold for the brand, which are obviously not targeted for any audience older than elementary school and each toy is in the aisles that are marketed more towards boys than girls. Angry Bird’s brand has been expanded quite a bit in order to cater towards different audiences. The variety of products on the market with Angry Birds on them are quite astonishing, however it was an effective way to market to the younger audiences and properly get the word out, especially since the popularity of Angry Birds started approximately 6 years
New apps on the mobile phones are taking a much more influential participation in our lives with the introduction of augmented reality. It changes the perception of our awareness of the surrounding through augmentations on our mobile phones. This comic explores the recent popular app ‘Pokémon Go’ in the ways that it affects our everyday lives, through a simple family outing portrayed by the protagonist Lucy. The comic starts with both Lucy and her mother in the setting of a beach. The contrast can already be seen where Lucy is holding and focused on her mobile, while her mother is empty handed. Lucy is so attached to her phone that she forgets her surroundings and walks into a pole. This shows the over attachment to the augmented reality that

During the early 1980s, Atari was the number one video game company in America. Atari had prophesized that they would turn an extreme profit during the time between 1980 and 1985. When Steven Spielberg came to Atari in July of 1982 asking to make a game version of his famous movie E.T., Atari promised him millions of dollars in royalties—even if the game failed—and that they could make the game by September of that year—an impossible deadline. At Christmas, 1982, E.T. The Game released. By the end of 1983, Atari had lost over $500 million and Warner Bros. sold Atari that year—leaving many thinking it was due to E.T.’s commercial failure. It’s rumored that E.T. The Game was so horrible that Atari took all the returned copies of the game and dumped them in a landfill in the New Mexico desert. Obviously, cause for a mass game “burial”. The target market is a group of customers with a similar need for a product. With toys, the target market is usually for children; they need toys to pass time when they are bored and to allow their imagination to unfold. Sometimes it is hard to market a toy because of the diverse characteristics that people have; boys and girls have different interests, and every culture see things differently. It would be very easy and effective to market a toy that would not be affected by any external factors. For that reason, I have decided to take interest in Etch-A-Sketch; Etch-A-Sketch is beneficial for anyone with a creative mind. Although this product is suitable for all ages, we will be focusing on children aged seven to ten, because at that age, children will be most creative and will be able to transfer the image in their
All of Pixar’s iconic films are inspired from small ideas drawn from aspects of everyday life. One of the most prominent inspirations was channeled into the film Finding Nemo. Andrew Stanton, a high ranking director and producer for Pixar, used his memories of a fish tank in a dentist’s office from his childhood as half of the story in Finding Nemo. Stanton’s sympathy for the fish and being an overprotective father served as the other half of the basic story and together the two memories formed the emotional anchor for the film. Another idea that spawned from a staff member helped create the unforgettable and heartfelt film Toy Story. John Lasseter, the chief creative officer of Pixar, owned many rare and collectible toys, and became nervous whenever his kids wanted to play with them. However, the real message, Lasseter realized, is just because a toy is signed by Tom Hanks, it does not mean that it is sentenced to life on a shelf. Channeling that type of thinking into all of the toys in Toy Story is what makes the film so cherished and more easily relatable. Another popular film is The Incredibles, which is Pixar’s tribute to pop mythology, comic books, and spy movies. The other inspiration for this movie deals with an average, everyday family life: the fear, anxiety, work, and insecurities that happen throughout a day. Combining the two aspects make for a very interesting, action-packed film, while also being very sincere and family-friendly. Pixar films were not all inspired from personal experience and passion. A documentary about the Rainforest Mountains in Venezuela made by Adrian Warren was the inspiration behind the movie Up. Inspiration can come from anywhere, and Pixar proves that anything can be ex...

In the book Bird by Bird by Anne Lamott, part three focuses writers block. “Writers Block” is the term for when an author can not get he/shes thoughts together and is unable to present them on paper. She explains the feelings of writers block as “anxious”. She explains that writers block is inevitable to everyone. She explains that “you will read what little you’ve written lately and see with absolute clarity that it is total dog shit”, this was an amazing writing technique because for such a scary topic, she added humor.
Excerpt: "When we’re first betrayed by someone we relied on to love and protect us, we may be frightened by our own rage. Years or even decades later, we may be frightened of letting go of that anger. We may resist moving forward because we are not yet ready to detach from our suffering." - Harriet Lerner, Ph.D., Psychology Today

Despite its European origins, Australian literature has developed a unique identity of iconic bushmen, social and racial politics and awe-inspiring landscapes (Australian Government). However, within these tales, the tenets of many English literary movements are still present (Smith and Pierce). This is especially prevalent within, Henry Kendall's lyrical poem, "Bell-birds" as his emotive tributes to the Australian landscape (The Development Of Australian Literature In The 19Th Century 7) adapt Romantic ideals to suit Australian iconography. In turn, Kendall not only gives homage to his predecessors, but pioneers a national identity (The Development Of Australian Literature In The 19Th Century 32). Thus, establishing Australian literature conventions (The
