Known for winning American Idol’s fourth season, and later going on and winning multiple Grammy and Academy of Country Music Awards, Carrie Underwood has been able to live and is still living a successful life. Carrie Underwood is an American Country singer, songwriter, and actress! Since becoming the winner of the fourth season of American Idol in 2005, she has become one of the most successful artists in music genre! Underwood was born on March 10, 1983, in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She was born and raised on a farm. She performed throughout her whole childhood, she would push her mom into taking her to local talent showsand eventually branched out to festival gigs in several states. Underwood along with growing her singing career also learned how to play the piano and guitar. She later after graduating high school attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma where she majored in broadcast journalism. But everything changed in her life when she decided to audition for American Idol during her senior year of college at Northeastern State University. Underwood had heard about the auditions for the 2005 season. She went to St. Louis Missouri auditions and she ended up winning the show’s fourth season.
 Carrie Underwood’s first debut album, Some Hearts was certified as a triple platinum! Which made her album the fastest-selling female country album since 1991. Later in 2008 during September Underwood won the CMA Award for the third consecutive time!During February 2009, Underwood won a Grammy for best female country vocal performance for her song “Last Name”-this was her fourth Grammy in three years. In November she won two more CMA Award nominations, female vocalists of the year and musical event of the year. In 2013, Underwood performed the Sunday Night Football theme song, which took place of Faith Hill’s “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night” which was used for the past six seasons of the weekly broadcast.
