The transfer from high school life to college, an action of which implicates that this career option in college is one that you will be practicing for many years to come. Hence, even more the reason to go through and research careers that one is interested in, as well as participating some time with such career that brought upon interest to one. A personality test may help pinpoint the careers that are better fit for one, due to the way questions are answered, will result upon, will be decide based on the test, your personalities and what careers are suggested for the test taker. “An adoption counselors create new families for people who want kids. They match potential parents with children who need safe, loving homes” (Career Cruising). The working conditions vary upon the location. Potential employers include: governments, non-profit organizations, and private adoption agencies. Adoption Counselors work with social workers, doctors, lawyers, and other professionals in the health and human services section. The work can be stressful for the individual, as may be a possibility in any potential job, but more so here, in of which this is a career where it doesn't just get left where one may leave off. The work goes home more often in times than not, just a characteristic of the career. Local and international travel may be required, all depending on the day. While adoption counselors my work standard office hours, of nine to five, there is always the potential of evening and weekend work in of which is sometimes required, again it all depends, and there is nothing set into stone for these workers (career cruising). The process of becoming an adoption counselor includes, the education level of four years in college. The salary is another variable for an adoption counselor, all depending on their level of experience, as well as the location of their work, the pay may be different in a private farmed out agency than may be a …show more content…

Although the number of years necessary to complete the program are different, they are under the same idea, need to go to college, before one can go and work on the career. Three different colleges that I have researched have included University of Michigan-Flint, Baker College Flint, as well as Michigan state. The cost of University of michigan-Flint, is $29,896 per year, four years will cost, $119,584, for five years it will cost $149,480. The cost of Baker College Flint is $9,000 per year, for four years $36,000, for five years $45,000. The cost of Michigan state is $27,290 per year for four years it will cost $109,160 and for five years it will cost, $136,450 (Career cruising). My plan for paying for college is to use as many grants and scholarships as possible. I do understand that later down the path I will more than less likely have to take out a loan, however, I prefer to do that as postponed as possible. My future plans, at this time involves going to University of Michigan flint, and then ,ransfeing out to Michigan state for veterinary. The transferring process, if done properly will save on tuition. As well as I have a passion for animals, so at this time, pursuing my goal as a veterinarian is most
