Economic Condition

Economic conditions are the nature of the economy in a nation or territory. When the economy is growing the conditions are seen as positive, and are considered harmful if the economy is declining. Many factors can determine economic conditions such as economic growth, unemployment, the global economy, and government policy. At the moment, economic conditions are seen as negative for Canadian businesses because of natural disasters, low international oil prices, and increasing unemployment in certain parts of the country. These are considered to be negative because people have less money to spend and Canadian businesses have less capital to invest causing a declining economy.

This external factor can have a negative and positive impact on Canadian firms. The impact could be positive because the government can put in place pro-growth policies and pass very few laws. In doing so Canadian business can receive tax breaks, government grants, and favourable regulation while also spending less on legal cost. The impact could also be negative because the political parties can pass new laws and regulations causing businesses to incur legal expenses.

The government can do a lot in this area to address business concerns about the external factor of political and legal consideration. On the political side, the government can pass fewer laws and regulation that impact business such as new taxes, fees, and rules. On the legal side, the government could make it easier for companies to sue for copyright infringement. I would grade social issues as a positive for Canadian businesses because it allows firms to operate in a socially conscious way in other to better represent customers and the community. Social issues can also have an adverse effect because people don't agree on everything especially when it comes to social issues causing some people to feel marginalised by society and these companies.

The government can address possible business concerns by taking the leading when it comes to social issues. States could provide things like healthcare so business does not have to worry about proving healthcare to their employees and worrying about the health of their customers. The Canadian government can address possible business concerns by keeping track of the social movements and responding in a way that gives the Canadian population what they want.

Global environment

Global Environmental matters are of grave concern to many Canadian businesses. Issues such as global growth, war, and climate change have a negative impact on our businesses. These problems have negative consequences because people become displaced, have little access to water & food as a result of war and climate change.
