During my life, So far a lot of my greatest memories involve Boy-Scouts. One of the best moments, I remember is my very first Summer Camp. I had been involved in Boy-Scouts for around four months. I had been told about Camp Chawanakee from other Scouters and I was so excited to go. It was around 3 weeks before we would be going to camp. Before we went to camp, we got to pick some merit Badges we would be doing. I had 5 class periods and 3 of them were going to be trail classes. So I had 2 more badges to pick, so I picked Swimming and Archery. I had no idea what it would be like, I had never taken a merit badge class, and I had never gone so far away from home on a Scout trip. This was going to be one of my favorite trips and I was remember it for a long time. It was time to go, it was 5am on a Saturday morning and I needed to get my pack to our church for loading. We got there a little late like usual, but it was okay, because you can’t leave the ScoutMaster(My dad) behind. We got on the road around 7am. I was in the car with two of my friends, My dad, and one of our assistant ScoutMaster. It took around 11 hours to get to camp. We took only two stops, one time to eat some sandwiches, and another time to pick up some food for the night. We got there around 6pm, and we had to unload all our supplies, pick tents, and find out who we were sleeping next to. The camp did not start till monday so we had a extra day to set up, explore the camp, and have some fun. It was now monday morning and camp had officially started. All the troops meet at the Flag Poles at the middle of camp, for announcements. We had around 15 boys in our troop, which was very small compared to the other troops who had around 75 to 1... ... middle of paper ... ...h one of the most respectful things, it was a flag retirement. It was the first flag retirement tI had witnessed and it was amazing. After we walked away from campfire quietly, respecting our nations flag that was just retired. Bella found me when we were walking and invited me to hang out before we had to go our separate ways and maybe never see each other again which would really suck. We went to a place near her cabin and hung out just talking for around 6 hours. We fell asleep there and it was just amazing day. I said goodbye and hoped I would see her again sometime. We left camp and I felt so sad to leave it behind, but I knew I had to leave. It was the first time where I felt I wanted to stay forever. I meet the most wonderful person. I made many new friends. We as a troop grew to be better friends. It was and always be one of my greatest memories.
