The city of Cameroon is located near the border of the Atlantic Ocean, its neighbors are Congo, Gabon and Equatorial Guinea. The republic of Cameroon is a democracy which grants executive powers and control to its president. The languages dominating this republic are English and French and has an area of 475,650 Km2 which will turn out to be slightly bigger than the state of California in size. The monetary unit in the republic of Cameroon is the Franc, it has been pegged to the euro since the early 2000’s. The climate of the southern part of the republic is hot and moist due to annual rainfall while the northern part has a more comfortable climate. It was estimated that the population of Cameroon in 2005 was estimated to 16,380,000 by the United Nations (UN). The republic of Cameroon offers roads, both paved and unpaved for transportation, as well as railroad systems and international airports for its people and visitors, indicating that their infrastructure is a developing sector. The education provided for its people begins at the age of six, the primary school will be held for six years, and the secondary school will have a cycle of 4 years. There is opportunity to attend university but is usually not something that only a few get to experience, although in recent years there has been advanced studies that indicate there is an upward mobility for education in this region. The main sources of economy in Cameroon are agriculture, manufacturing sectors, and petroleum. The republic has invested in its infrastructure growth indicating that they are enhancing the opportunity for future investments by other nations. The economy of Cameroon expanded by 4.3 % from the year 2003 to 2004, and in the year 2005 the GDP growth rate was presumed to increase up to 5.9%.
