A member of the Federal Government who has been selected by the Prime Minister. They are in charge of the administration of particular areas within a major department.
A shadow minister is a member of the opposition who's job is to closely examine the Government’s work and its ministers.
The cabinet are responsible for being the Governments directors in policy making. Policy and legislative proposals are decided by this position.
The shadow cabinets are a group of senior opposition spokespeople. That are selected by the opposition leader in government to form an alternative cabinet.In which they shadow each minister or government portfolio.

Arthur Calwell was also the Leader of the Australian Labour party in 1960 through to 1967.
Products and industries located within the Calwell electorate include automobile manufacturing, food processing, the production of wines, textiles, horse studs, transport, clothing, telecommunications, airline industries and service industries.
The Calwell electorate is located not the north-western fringe of Melbourne and covers 175 square kilometres. In 1959, Maria Vamvakinou was born on the small Greek island, Lefkada and later in 1963 she migrated to Australia with her parents by boat. Her parents wanted to migrate in hopes to have a better life than the one they previously had in Greece and as well as wanting more opportunities. The northern suburbs of Melbourne is where Maria spent her child as she grew up and went to school in this region. Vamvakinou attended Brunswick South Primary School and Princes Hill High School, she later went to the University of Melbourne where she received a Bachelor of Arts and a major in Modern Greek and Political Science. She also studied teaching and now withholds a Diploma of Education, she has taught at Thornbury High School before she decided to get a career in the political system. I believe she would help in altering Calwell to becoming a better electorate and I like what she stand for. In the recent 2016 election Maria Vamvakinou held her seat by 67.88% therefore making her re-elected.
The president of the Animal Justice Party (AJP) is Professor Steve Garlick, he has carried out this position since 2010. The party doesn't have a deputy instead they have a vice-president who is Anna Hall.

The Animal Justice Party upholds the ideology of animal rights and the fair treatment towards them. The AJP aims towards trying to protect the wellbeing of animals as they believe there is a lack of action towards this.

The party’s constituents are people who are animal lovers and devoted to the welfare of animals as well as banning such things as love exports. Other people that would back up the policies are people who agree with increasing the protection and also those who are aware of the inhumane ways some animals are treated.

The banning of live exports - The Animal Justice Party wants to create laws that will oppose the right to export live animals to other countries, where they are then inhumanly tortured/killed. The issue of live exports is something the party is mainly focused on and would be one of their principal
