Business Before Blood He remembered someone giving out the drinks earlier that day. He couldn’t remember who or when. And that was his last thought as the final wave of reactions killed him. On the morning of the 4th of May 2014, just after 7 am, Dr David Price, a forensic pathologist, was called to the home of Kathryn Johnson in the residential suburb of Chester, Pennsylvania. Kathryn had found her son, Jamie, dead, with an energy drink sitting next to him. After a careful examination of the body, Doctor Price concluded that Jamie Johnson died as a result of a hypoglycaemic reaction to ingesting insulin. Two days later, Jamie’s estranged father, Peter, was charged with the murder.
