There are many women that have an impact on my life; however, the question is how many of them do I look up to? Of course the most obvious person is my very own mother, but that made me think who else deserves to join this circle of reverence. Some names entered my mind, but do I really admire them? It is clear that women that enter my daily life like Oprah Winfrey have an impression on me, but impact and admiration do not always go hand in hand. It is probable that if Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung were to evaluate Britney Spears, they would affirm that her psychopathology is an undeviating product of her id, which according to Freud functions under the pleasure principle and is the starting place of natural human drives and desires, being too powerful. At an incredibly juvenile age...

In today’s world, with the media exploiting every single thing about a celebrity, it easy to know their accomplishments or the scandals in their life. One of the star that are in the public eye is Jennifer Lopez but she is mostly known as JLo. Many people know her as an American singer, actress, dancer, fashion designer and businesswoman (Jennifer Lopez). Everybody out there has their own opinion about her, those who look up to her describe her as a strong, independent and hardworking women who fought to be in the position that she’s in. The pop music stars that fascinates me… I have many, such as Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, Austin Mahone, Ariana Grande, and Tori Kelly. But, for today I will go into depth with the male being Justin Bieber and the female being Demi Lovato. Many people wonder, so many times from time and time again what do I see in these artist. Well to be honest, they have a story that made them who they are today, which is a strong, independent, calm, and inspirational person. Take Justin Bieber for instance, many people find him impulsive and immature from the events that have occurred in the past up until now. Everyone knows about the Miami incident that occurred a year and 7 months ago. He’s showing many that he’s taken the consequences with what he did
“I’ve been through it all, baby. I’m Mother Courage.” Elizabeth Taylor has been through the worst of it with her numerous marriages and illnesses, but she toughed it out and kept pushing forward. Princess Diana was born The Honorable Diana Frances Spencer on July 1, 1961. She was the third female child to Viscount and Viscountess Althorp. Diana had two older sisters, Sarah and Jane and one younger brother, Charles. Her family was well off and Diana had a privileged childhood. The Spencer’s made their money as successful sheep traders in the 15th century. With their fortune they built Althorp House in Northamptonshire and acquired a family crest and motto – "God defend the right" (Morton 10). The Spencer’s occupied various offices of State and Court. When Diana’s was born her father was disappointed she was a girl. He was hoping for his third children to finally be a male heir to carry on the Spencer name. Diana’s father and the rest of the family wanted to know why her mother was only producing girls. Because of this, her mother was sent to a clinic for tests (Morton 10). She was only 23 at the time. This is ironic because today we now know the sex of the baby is determined by the father. Even though she was too young to understand, Diana believed she was to blame for her father’s disappointment. Finally, a few years later her mother delivered a boy to carry on the Spencer name. Although Diana had a beautiful christening at Sandringham Church with well-to-do Godparents, her brother Charles’s christening was a major event at Westminster Abbey. The Queen was the principal Godparent. The Spencer children were privileged but not snobbish.

In the early 1980’s, women were not supposed to be open-minded or even allowed to have such sexual thoughts that Madonna inspired. Women were expected to be traditional and keep their femininity behind closed doors. When Madonna first came into the entertainment business, it was a complete shock for everyone. No one could believe a woman was capable of being a sex symbol in public. It was not Madonna’s fault that she was simply a desirable creature to everyone (Allen 5). In today’s youth, people are used to watching television and music videos since a young age. We learn from the media and it helps us to comprehend the representations that it is giving of society. Madonna became the main subject of the media and society. Since, celebrities are always focused on by the media; they have the power to impact society by showing their perspective of thoughts and images. Accord...
