“It is a sin to write this.” So begins Anthem. Equality 7-2521 thought that being alone, thinking alone, and writing thoughts down was all sin. In the end Equality now thinks he was correct to think the way he did. It is a basic human right to live as an individual, so Equality was right because it is a human right; everyone is unique, and this perfect society does not exist. To those who believe in a higher power also believe that we are all given rights. The rights of thinking alone and being an individual not only as a person who speaks, but the person who thinks for themselves. Given there are rules and laws humans must follow there is something we control on our own such as our bodies and thought. No one is equal, no thought, no style
