Bora Bora is said to be the prettiest island on the planet, because of its beautiful beaches, volcanoes, tourism, and fruits. Bora Bora is what many people think of when they idealize a tropical paradise. Some of the most important things about Bora Bora are important facts about the island, the origin of Bora Bora, and some of Bora Bora’s best natural features. One of the most important facts about Bora Bora is that it was founded and named by French colonists that came from Europe. Another very important fact would be that Bora Bora's original name was Pora Pora because the Tahitians had no B in their alphabet. Another fact is that Bora Bora is only 160 miles away from the island of Tahiti which if you were going to Bora Bora you would probably fly to Tahiti and then from Tahiti take a small flight to Bora Bora. A fun fact about Bora Bora and its sister islands is that they were the inspirations for the recent Disney movie “Moana.” Bora Bora is a big part of the French Polynesia. (“Bora Bora”) Tahiti is the largest of the Society Islands,it also forms part of the French Polynesia which Bora Bora is a part of. Tahiti is in the central south pacific, southeast of Hawaii. Bora Bora's main mountain is Mt. Otemanu and many people that visit the island usually visit this site. Bora Bora also has many pretty resorts that have overwater bungalows which originated on and were exclusive to the island. There are not many resorts to choose from in Bora Bora because the island is so small, but the resorts they do have are usually very nice.
