Black Ops 3 new maps. First-person shooter is a video game genre centered on gun and projectile weapon-based combat through a first-person perspective; that is, the player experiences the action through the eyes of the protagonist. The first-person shooter shares common traits with other shooter games, which in turn fall under the heading action game. From the genre's inception, advanced 3D or pseudo-3D graphics have challenged hardware development, and multiplayer gaming has been integral. After masses of video game evolution, along came the call of duty series. Beginning with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, which is set in modern times, the series has shifted focus away from World War II. Modern Warfare, released November 2007, was followed …show more content…
Black ops 3 is a call of duty game made third in the series of black ops which is in interval of other Call Of Duties such as the modern warfare series. I myself played black ops 2 but never 1 nor 3. This is because of my lack of console. However I do have to appreciate the art and beauty of the new maps in the pack that was just released for Black Ops 3. As per usual. There are multiple DLC’s and add ons that are forced upon the player to buy by the Video game companies. Would you like to feel left out when all of your friends have the fancy new guns, maps and camos? No you would not is the correct …show more content…
Snow, buildings, semi-futuristic. Bland colours and no true attention to detail that stands out unlike other maps such as the classics. E.g. Rust on MW2. Personally I would show no interest towards playing this map and think it is unnecessary. Splash, looks colourful, however, the water theme has been used multiple times in these franchises and if you would pardon the pun, these maps seem to be drying out. I’m sure there will be interesting features such as possible water slides, and the map looks to be a delight to the eye. Your everyday player might say it looks nice but I, a video game connoisseur say that again, this map seems unneeded and a waste of memory on your console. Another map to be played and forgotten about. Gauntlet however caught my eye, could this be some sort of new game mode? The first thing that game to my mind was the Goblet of fire from Harry Potter and the Hunger games. I immediately have taken a liking to the Dystopian type feel of the map. It again looks futuristic but not too much so that they have gotten rid of greenery
Call of duty black ops 2 is a first-person shooter video game developed by Treyarch and published by Activision, the game was first released in November of 2012 and is a sequel to the 2010 game call of duty black ops. extra details were added as simple eye candy, turrets, flags, that type of atmosphere was needed
The upper left of the artwork contains a bright pale yellow glow that is casted upon the city and onto Zed’s back. Shadows are also very much visible in this image. Zed himself is actually a human-like representation of a shadow. In the background there is a dark silhouette of his figure that is actually a tangible shadow resembling a positive space to the background. The image depicts tenebrism in it’s use of light and shadow because there are incredibly strong highlights on the back and metallic parts of Zed while there are strong shadows on his garments. It also includes the intense light beaming out from in between the faint clouds into the darker value city. The location that Zed appears to be in looks as if there is constant darkness because of the absence of bright colors and the abundance of desaturated colors. The image is consisted of primarily dark dull colors and minimal bright colors. Blunt is able to create a sense of space by primarily using the complementary colors red and green. He used a desaturated and high value green for his background and a bright satin red for details in the foreground. Because cool colors appear to move away from us, Blunt chose to use a dull green as his primary color for his background because it gives the background a sense of descending space. Also, because warm colors appear to move towards us, he used a satin red as his main color for details on Zed because it makes the figure stand out in front of the background. Blunt also portrayed space and balance using detail and color. The image is very side-heavy considering the fact that the focal point of the image is primarily on the right side. Blunt created two focal points on the foreground, one being the up-close shuriken to the left and the other being Zed. The weight of the shuriken to the left balances out the intense focus on Zed which brings unity to the image. The beam of light through the clouds also

Fallout: New Vegas feels like an expansion of Fallout 3 with the same controls and basic gameplay skills with a few added improvements only slightly tweaking the first person shooter (FPS) aspect of the game. V.A.T.S. (Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System), which is a technology that allows the user to freeze combat and target certain locations on an enemy, was t...
The locations and the surroundings definitely complement each other. The places have been made to look as though they are run by zombies. They have been realistic and with a touch of reality. Zombies are seen eating flesh amidst desolated places and dead bodies.

Bissell comically explains what he would say to his hypothetical children, “My beloved Kermit, my dear little Hussein, at the moment America changed forever, your father was wandering an ICBM-denuded wasteland, nervously monitoring his radiation level, armed only with a baseball bat, a 10mm pistol, and six rounds of ammunition, in search of a vicious gang of mohawked marauders who were 100 percent bad news and totally had to be dealt with. Trust Daddy on this one (351).” His impulsiveness and love for Fallout 3 causes him to miss a pivotal moment in history. Impressively though, games can be considered art; for example, Fallout 3 includes “skulls exploding into the distinct flotsam of eyeballs, gray matter, and upper vertebrae (354).” Bissell describes the effects happening within the game and how realistic they can be. Games are purely awe inspiring. The makers of Fallout 3 poured rigorous amounts of energy to create a beautiful “past-future never-never-land weirdness (355).”
Left 4 Dead is a shooter action game that was released in 2008 for the XBox 360. It was developed by Turtle Rock Studios and Valve. Just as the title suggests, "Left 4 Dead" features four playable human characters who have been left behind to survive. They are all trapped in an infected city with a rapidly growing population of people-eating undead. In order to survive, the characters need to trust one another and work together to defeat the undead.

Call of Duty’s fourth installment “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” was released in 2007 for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. At the time, nobody would have expected the game to get very far due to Halo’s reign over the FPS genre. However, to many people’s surprise, Modern Warfare took the market by storm, rivaling Halo. This was part due to Cod’s innovative multiplayer, which included multiple arcade-like features to keep players interested in playing for hours on end. Cod also appealed to many gamers and non-gamers by making gameplay an easy-to-play experience. This of course allowed thousands of inexperienced gamers to have fun playing Cod without the stress of a skill based multiplayer, such as Halo’s. Increasing in popularity, a new Cod installment was to be released every year following Modern Warfare to rake in the cash and to make the game’s reputation more prominent. This is how Cod became the juggernaut it is today.

I’m the type of guy that would go out and buy a Call of Duty game, pop it open and gather all my friends and jump right into it. Call of Duty is one of the most popular games out and many people love to play. It is competitive, it has online play, and you can also create a clan or group to play against other people around the world online. Call of Duty dates back to 2003 and really wasn’t popular then because it’s all about killing your enemy. Many parents didn’t want their child to play the game. Growing up, I didn’t know much about video games, so I wasn’t really into them until I started playing Call of Duty. Not only does it have military based features, it also has zombies and/or aliens features as well.
