Lindbergh Charles A. Lindbergh was one of the greatest men in aviation history. Lindbergh was always an very out going person. He believed that he was always doing what was best for aviation no matter who he insulted or who he went against. He was a brave man that would often push the limits of his body, technology, and his planes. His goal was to advance aviation. This man did what ever it took because he believed in something greater than himself. The book CHARLES A. LINDBERGH LONE EAGLE gives a very detail description of his life and it helps show how he wanted to advance aviation even if it meant risking his own life. He went to the university of Wisconsin to study mechanical engineering, which he was fascinated with. He was always kind of a dare devil and he loved adventure. But young Charles neglected his studies and was put on academic probation. This didn’t matter to him anyway because he had a new goal and that was to fly airplanes. He went to a place in Nebraska that would teach you how to fly for 500 dollars.. After he learned how to fly at this airfield. He became a show pilot once he learned how to fly .He wanted to fly faster planes so he started flying in the army then he started carrying US Mail. Charles did all of this to try and establish commercial aviation in the US. He then thought one of the greatest ways to do this was to be the first man to fly from New York to Paris. He left from New York and he was able to fly all the way to Paris. The news really helped spread the word about him and now he was a hero for people all over the world. He returned back to the United States and he had more cameras on him then a movie star. He was on top of the world then tragedy struck. He was at home one night with his wife... ... middle of paper ... ...orce with out anyone knowing. He fought hard and was very productive. When more and more people found out whom they were flying with Lindbergh knew he had to stop because the president would find out. When the president finally did find out he let Lindbergh in the air force as a pilot trainer and someone who could help them with aviation. I say that he was a true hero for America and for aviation. He did no matter what he had to do to make sure he helped advance aviation. He was a true hero for aviation because he worked and risked his life multiple times not just for his fame but so aviation could continue to grow. I believe he never turned on America and everything he did was for the benefit of America. He was a true hero that had a goal and he wanted to complete that goal. He did all he could to help aviation because that is what he believed very deeply in.
