Philanthropist,Optimist,Creator, are things that describe Bill Gates. Many people know that Bill Gates is a billionaire but Bill is so much more. As a well known philanthropist/creator of Microsoft,Bill Gates showed Americans that computers are humanity's future. He left a lasting legacy as a creator, optimist, a philanthropist donating over 28 billion dollars, became a founder of many charities that are now helping the needy, and curing diseases. During the early life of Bill Gates he was very exposed to technology. Bill Gates always had access to computers even at his school Lakeside. In less than three decades Gates made Microsoft form a startup to every home has a computer. (Becraftp.preface) In 1972 Bill Gates confounded Traf o Data further increasing his wealth. In 1989 Mr. Gates founds the entertainment network corbis. By this time Bill now owns 64% of Microsoft along with Paul allen who owns 36% of Microsoft. In 1986 Microsoft becomes a publicly traded company. Later on Bill goes on to win the U.S. medal of technology. He finally releases Windows 3 which becomes big hit. What did Bill do with his billions? Being on the billionaires list for 12 consecutive years, (Entrepreneur.web) Bill was not just a wealthy man, he was rich. Mr. Gates says his kids will only inherit 10 million dollars. Gates at one point used to be the richest man in the world. So what did the creator of Microsoft do? He donated 28 billion dollars for philanthropic purposes. (Timeline.web) He started two foundations to end polio and alzheimer's disease. These are just some of the great things Bill Gates did with his wealth.
