ANIMAL AND FEATURES:
Nowadays a lot of animals are being hunted. The organism that I have chosen is the national animal of India - The Bengal tiger (Panthera tigris). It has a lot of physical adaptations like striped fur to camouflage, soft pads which allows them to walk silently to their prey, this allows them to survive in its habitat. They are nocturnal animals.
WHY ARE THEY ENDANGERED?
Bengal tigers are beautiful animals and it's really disheartening to watch them die! Hunters are hunting them for their skin and fur to make carpets, belts and keep their head as a decoration piece (to show how much power one has). People are chopping down a lot of trees in forests to make paper and construct villas or buildings(deforestation). These forests …show more content…

If we don’t save them, then by around 2020 they may go extinct!
WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF THEY GO EXTINCT?
If tigers go extinct it will affect the entire eco-system. Tigers stand at the topmost part of the food chain. They help in maintaining the rich diversity of nature. For example, the tiger eats deer to survive, if they go extinct, the population of deer’s will increase. The increase in deer population will lead to overgrazing. If deer’s start having a lot of grass and leaves it will eventually lead to soil erosion. This is how everything is linked in a food chain.
RESERVES OR CONSERVATIONS PROTECTING BENGAL TIGER:
Reserves and conservations like INDIAN BOARD FOR WILDLIFE(IBWL), THE SUNDARBARN NATIONAL PARKS AND PROJECT TIGER, have saved a massive population of the Bengal tigers. The Sundarbans national park is in West Bengal, India. It is the largest reserves. It’s mostly funded by the West Bengal …show more content…

The Project Tiger- was launched in India in 1972 as conservation program me to save the Indian Tiger Population. Corbett was the first national park of India to be covered under Project Tiger. Now it has around 27 reserves with a population of 1498 tigers.
It is looked after by The Principal Chief Conservator of Forests(PCCF), Wildlife &Bio-Diversity& ex-officio Chief Wildlife Warden.
WWF has done a lot of work to protect Bengal tigers. WWF worked with local partners to rise antipoaching efforts and reduce threats to animal habitats in India, Bhutan. WWF even supports innovative solutions like biogas to save the tigers and improve the community health and climate change. It has even helped in stopping illegal wildlife trade. limitation on the protection of the organism: -
One major limitation, that can be observed in the protection of the Bengal Tiger, is the interaction of the locals or tribal people with these tigers due to the proximity of both of their living space. This can be problematic as the tribal might kill these endangered species if they enter their territory for the sake of protecting human life and defending themselves.
Solution for the above-mentioned limitation –
1. Make sure to feed the tigers properly and increase the prey population. According to the WWF this will ensure a decrease in the human-tiger
