Paranormal Activity

Any event or situation that occurs outside the realm of normality is considered paranormal activity. The word paranormal derives from the Latin word ‘para’ meaning outside or beyond. Strange events that challenge scientific principles are categorized as paranormal. These events could include: hearing voices while alone, UFO’s, and seeing ghost. Many conspiracy theories have developed throughout the world. From ancient times to modern day there have been claims of paranormal activity. Although these beliefs have traveled worldwide, many do not agree.
Astrology

Astrology is basically a numerical message that is read based upon the degree of the sun at birth. It is not the basic signs and suns that people commonly associate it with (Marks, 2013). According to Marks, Astrology is basically consistent of three components: the houses, the signs, and the planets. Marks wrote that each planet has a function, with each sign effecting how that planet is functioning, and each house illustrating where each planet is working the most. Astrologist read horoscopes in many different ways with the simplest being associating the date of birth with the persons life (Grabianowski, 2001). This form of horoscope reading is called sun-sign studying. It is the simplest way and can be found in a daily newspaper. Grabianowski also stated that the sign of the sun at conception is not to be considered when reading/identifying a person’s horoscope. He stated that the degree of the sun at the child’s birth will be the zodiac sign. There are many different methods and theories about Astrology that have contributed to its research. You may dismiss these predictions as hit-or-miss random guesses that happened to come true, stated Jyotish (Jyotish--Verdict Astrology). Jyotish also stated, "Astrology is a probabilistic subject in nature. An astrologer can only say that event x is 'very likely' and event y is 'very unlikely' - he can never say 'this will happen'" (Jyotish--Verdict Astrology). In this situation these predictions are undeclared. He clearly states that a situation will be or will not be. Following these predictions he dismisses any reasons that may contradict his predictions by stating that there are drawbacks because they are ultimately 'guesses', or the fact that the astrologer could possibly just make a mistake. He does not give straight- forward answers that could possibly dismiss Astrology as being a myth.
