Art is a form of communication through drawings or images. It shows symbolism, emotion, and personality through strokes of a paint brush. Art requires the passion to draw what you see the world as, and the want to show the world what you made. Art is a career that many people don’t do because they fear failure. Though some people are right it is not as easy as it looks, but neither is it impossible. To start as an artist you have to have a skill set. You must be able to draw, sketch, and paint. With these skills you will be able to make a cycle of how to make your art. As easy as it is for people to say they want to be an artist they have to have the potential. If not they will get their dreams crush, and cause a mass genocide of an entire race of people for a foolish reason. The person in question would have to be sure that they’ll love this career. The best way to ensure you are going to love to work on art is by doing a job placement test. You must also be aware of the requirements of this occupation. All jobs have special obligations to them, there for art is no acception. The best way to start is through an apprenticeship. It gives you hands on training of your preferred art. To complete an apprenticeship you must have done 144 hours of classroom …show more content…

Art is defined as the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power. Jackson Pollock does an amazing job creating art. Pollock’s works are not as big as some of the other artists like Monet’s paintings but his works are still large enough to engulf the viewer.
We encounter art everyday. Art is paintings and sculptures, music and dance, film and photography. It is also fashion designing and architecture, novels and magazines. These seemingly different things have one thing in common – they are all ways in which humans convey themselves. For thousands of years, humans have used symbols to tell a story or describe a struggle. Art is the use of these symbols, symbols that represent us in some distinct way.
It is art fulfilling its role in society. It is art that brings the moral issues. It is art that makes us human.
According to the National Art Education Association’s goals for schools, “all elementary schools shall require students to complete a sequential program of art instruction that integrates the study of art production, aesthetics, art criticism, and art history,” (Clark, 1987). Elementary schools are having difficulty because they are cutting back on the fine arts programming and many non-specialist classroom teachers are expected to integrate the fine arts into their daily curriculum. Most of these teachers feel inadequate and uncomfortable when teaching these subjects. The children are receiving inadequate lessons in art education. All elementary schools should expand their curriculum to include the fine arts as subjects, and licensed specialists should teach these subjects.
If I were to ask you what is art, and how can one find it? What would you say? Well if it were me being asked those question, I would simply say that art to me is a form of a picture; a visual painting or model of some design and it could be found all among us. You may define it differently only because art could be defined in many ways. I could simply say that art to me is a form of a picture; a visual painting or model of some design. Well according to an article written by Shelley Esaak, an art history expert she mentioned that art has a way of stimulating different parts of our brains to make us laugh or incite us to riot, with a whole gamut of emotions in between. She also mentioned that art gives us a way to be creative and express ourselves. [1]
If you’re not having fun making your work, no one will have fun looking at it. Life starts at the end of your comfort zone. Paint over a painting when you’re done with it. Educate yourself, read every book about every artist that inspires you. Listen to others, but take time and thought to verify their critique before accepting their advice. Pretend like your 5 years old and make art. Pretend like your 100 years old and make art. As soon as your process becomes a chore, find a way to change that into something you enjoy.
If you are interested in doing it [art], and you’ve got the conviction and the skills, just persevere and practice … I have been drawing since I was a kid, but it took me a while … I was about 30 when things really started rolling. All I can say is practice. If you want to be an artist, go to live events, look at other artists … that’s the only way you can be really great.
From an early age I have always had a strong interest in art, and have been involved with it in some form all through my life. In year nine I realized that it was something that I might like to pursue as a career, I started taking it more seriously. The Chase's art department encouraged me very well and helped me develop my art skills.
Art is an expression of feelings, body language, and culture produced by humans. Art can be expressed in many different ways, and in many different forms from time to time! You’d be amazed with the different types of skilled work artists come up with each day and it’s all just someone, one person expressing how they feel or what they believe. One form of art that I find very interesting is Fauvism.
Art in its broader meaning, however, involves both skill and creative imagination in a musical, literary, visual, or performance context. Art provides the person or people who produce it and the community that observes it with an experience that might be aesthetic, emotional, intellectual, or a combination of these qualities.
Unlike music, because the outcome of art is judged solely on what you can see, it is much easier to pick up the basics using free or extremely low-cost how-to-do books and videos that can be found
There is a certain amount of education and certifications you have to complete in order to start teaching art in a college environment. Most universities require a minimum of at least a master’s in fine arts in a particular subject like fashion or graphic design. Although, most professors get a doctorate in a certain field so that they can obtain a tenure and have a secure position at a university. A tenure is a professor’s permanent job contract, which for most people takes around six or seven years. If an art professor is tenured they cannot be fired without reasonable causes and they might be more opt to present more ideas that might be considered controversial. Even though it takes a lot to become a tenured professors, I feel like it is worth all the time and effort you have to sacrifice to obtain a permanent job position and also a form of seniority toward other fa...
So to answer the question you need to think what is art? To me art is a form of representing a person’s ideas which can be in any form of media whether it be a painting, a film, or a song, a novel or a photograph. For it to be classed as art though it must provoke emotion or thought and show signs of creativity.
In order to prepare for this career in my future I would need to attend a college involving designing, fashion designing, and a type of art. The education I would need would be a two year to four year college for fashion designing and a one year to three year college for interior designing. These careers take a bachelors degree in some place of art. In order to want to attend college first of all I would have to maintain an acceptable grade point average of what I would possibly assume of a 2.5 or higher depending on the location of the college as well as the skill learning level of the college.
