Arguments Against Biblical Hatred

This paper has presented several arguments concerning the issue of Biblical Hatred. The idea is wrong and should not be used by Christians. Juan Cevallos points out that, “Jesus wants to humanize people.” Because of this quote, if we continue to harm people through the way of Biblical Hatred, then we prevent humanization and create barbarians. If all we ever do is promote hatred then, “The peace witness along with the nonviolent struggle for justice is not some optional accessory in Christian living. It is grounded in a key part of the teaching[s] of Jesus … but more than that it has to do with living out in frail human response an [the] imitation of and a correlate to what Jesus lived out,” is lost. If Biblical Hatred is all that is experienced then the Prince of Peace and his way will be lost and forgotten because, actions tend to speak louder than words. …show more content…

“For [God] is kind to the ungrateful and the wicked.” If God who is all powerful, is kind to those who hate God, then who are we to be hateful to those who are our brothers and sisters? Why should we hate and harm when we are created out of love and kindness? Why should we do the right thing? Because our God is a God of grace and compassion. Our God is forgiving and loving. Our God created us with the knowledge that we would sin and yet created us anyway. With a God like that there is no reason why we, God’s Children, should treat others in the way of Biblical
