Teen pregnancy is one of the most common concerns in the United States and most of the countries throughout the world. There are many factors that have encouraged many teenagers to make choices about getting pregnant based upon their backdrops and social hangouts. Some teen pregnancies are most likely to have been result of poor understanding and absence of sexual knowledge that needs to be provided by their parents or the school authorities from early age. It is an important part in a person’s life as it provides him/her with important knowledge which will help them in making right choices and decision. 30 percent of teenage girl’s states pregnancy or parenthood to be their primary reason to drop out from high school also the rates are higher among Hispanics being 36 percent and African Americans being at 38 percent. Overall only forty percent of teenage mother choose to finish high school and less than 2 percent of those teenage mothers who gave birth before eighteen years old tends to finish college by the age of thirty years old (Teen Pregnancy Prevention). This above testimonial proves that pregnancy during the teenage years for the girls is very dire because it will affect their future in significant ways. This can led them into harsh lifestyle for themselves and also for the new born babies because the work field often asks for diplomas and degrees. They will most likely have to rely on the food stamps and aids funded by the government which are often not enough to support the babies. Even though, the teen pregnancy birth rates have declined since the 1990’s, it still remains a major problem throughout the United States and most of the countries all around the world. Teen pregnancy is a very crucial choice among the teens to make because it involves lives of more than two people. The babies are often seen to take punishments of their parents act. The babies are often kept in foster homes and they will never get the love and affection that a normal child will get from their parents.
