Abortion: A Woman’s Personal Choice
When it comes down to abortion, there are two types of people, Pro-Life advocates and Pro-Choice advocates. Pro-Life advocates fight against abortion, these people believe that abortion is an abomination and should not be legal because it is wrong and it is the act of killing an innocent child. Pro-Choice advocates believe that women should have to choice as to whether or not they carry the fetus to term or end the pregnancy through abortion before it is taken to term. Pro-Choice advocates aren’t exactly supporting abortion as much as they are supporting the right to end a pregnancy through abortion.

You don’t have the option of whether or not you want to be pregnant; once it happens it cannot be undone. Your pregnancy is God’s choice and you get the privilege of bearing one of his children. Many Pro-Life advocates quote the following scripture from the Holy Bible to support this belief: Jeremiah 1:5 that “Before I formed you in the belly I knew you; and before you came forth out of the womb I sanctified you, and I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”
Pro-Choice advocates believe that every woman should be able to choose whether or not her body changes and whether or not she wants to carry a child. Not even an accident should be able to change your course of life. No higher power should make decisions for you that can effect and/ or change your bodily image or its functions. This was argued in 1973 by Sarah Weddington in the case Roe v Wade, she states “Because of the impact on the woman… she should be allowed to make the choice as to whether to continue or to terminate her pregnancy” (Roe v
