No matter what your stance is regarding the topic of abortion, it cannot be denied that abortion is one of the most highly discussed debates in the country. This brief overview of the topic will include support for either side of the argument, pro-choice and pro-life, and the morality of the situation. The first side of the argument, which opposes abortion, is called pro-life. Essentially, they value a fetuses life more than a woman’s right to choose what to do with her body. To these activists, choosing abortion is the equivalent to murder, and that they are “playing god” by aborting their children. They also feel that on the other hand that abortion is a dangerous procedure, and puts the mother at risk (hli.org 3).
