Mass shootings in the United States have unfortunately become a disconcerting drift that appears to be on the rise. There have been numerous shootings in open places obtaining media coverage and giving the recognition that they are getting to be the modern typical. Social media has played a big role in mass shootings, from recognizing the problem and making it seem normal to society. There are so many questions as to why these horrific acts happen, but many want the violence to be put to a stop. Mass shootings has various views which makes it challenging to discover a viable solution. This essay discusses the measurements that can be taken into consideration in order to ensure the safety of the American people. Society would be safer if gun control was more restricted and were given to individuals that surpass a strict screening. Therefore, we should bring light to society, so we can live in a secure and protected environment.

The Second Amendment grants the citizens of the United States to have the right to bear arms and own firearm. Background checks violate the Second Amendment by not promising to let anyone own a gun for their safety. If they do not pass he background check, they won't be able to own a gun causing them to fear for their life. A well-known argument from gun rights advocates if you make the ownership of guns a crime, then only the criminals or bad people will have guns. This means the criminals would have guns, and the good citizens would have a disadvantage because they have no guns to protect themselves from criminals. There are many responses to this argument: who determines who gets guns, what kind of procedure will go in effect? Background checks and stricter gun control will decrease the amount of mass shootings and ultimately decrease the crime
